2023/24
2023 - Present.
These pieces utilize single-use plastic to create 'plastic murrine' - a process I've developed over a decade, inspired by ancient glassmaking techniques. By combining plastic murrine with discarded or repurposed materials, the works reference traditional roots while acknowledging the precarious nature of our environment and society. My practice is driven by continued material exploration and a desire to exist between characterizations of "painting", "sculpture", "glass", "craft", etc.
